What is the best way to prepare for the SSB?
The best SSB preparation isn't last-minute coaching — it's developing the right attitude, the habits, and the knowledge over months and years.
My simple advice is: develop the right attitude and motivation. You need a high sense of personal responsibility, shown at home, in school or college, and at the workplace.
Build the habits that produce OLQs
Helping parents and siblings, doing projects and experiments, participating in debates, exhibitions and technical festivals, organising events with friends, developing one or two useful hobbies, playing sports, and participating in camps and adventure activities will certainly help you develop the desired qualities. These habits surface naturally in your TAT stories, WAT responses and Interview — they cannot be faked under thirty-second timers.
Read, observe and speak
You must also read books and newspapers, gain knowledge of current and military affairs, and develop good English speaking and writing skills to face the SSB with confidence.
