Is handwriting important in the Psych Test?
Handwriting itself does not affect your assessment. What matters is legibility, grammar, vocabulary and the clarity with which you express your thoughts.
Some candidates worry about the quality of their handwriting and its impact on their assessment. A few believe that good handwriting will help them succeed. This is a misconception.
Handwriting isn't scored — content is
SSB psychologists do not give importance to handwriting. Since the test is written at a fast pace, they know your handwriting cannot be very good. They are interested in the content — your thoughts, feelings and actions — rather than the appearance of your writing.
What actually matters on the page
Your writing must be legible. Equally important: proper formation of sentences (grammar), apt vocabulary, and correct spelling and punctuation. Remember that expressing your thoughts clearly and easily is an Officer Like Quality you need to develop with practice.
