About
SSB Psych Prep is a one-mentor practice. It coaches candidates for the psychology test at the Services Selection Board — and only that test. For GTO and Interview, the techniques are different and a serving officer is the right person to talk to.
The site is run by Cdr K Ramana Prasad (Retd.), an ex-Indian Navy officer and psychologist. From 2006 to 2009, he was a serving SSB psychologist at 33 SSB Bhopal and the Naval Selection Board Coimbatore — the same chair the assessor sits in when reading your TAT story.
What you get
- A timed mock psychology test in the format used at the Board
- A detailed written assessment of your responses against the Officer Like Qualities (OLQs) the psychologist scores
- A one-on-one counselling session with Cdr Prasad to walk through the report and shape your preparation
The whole process — registration to counselling — takes about a week.
Why this mentor
Most coaching for the SSB is run by people who once took the test. Cdr Prasad is one of the few who once gave it. The difference shows up in the report: it does not coach you to memorise stock responses, it coaches you to surface the qualities the Board is looking for.
