Why 3 techniques in the SSB?

A person communicates with his social environment in 3 primary ways – speaking, writing,
and acting. He uses one or a combination of these methods to express his thoughts.
Due to one’s unique nature and skills, his/her quality of communication varies. For example,
a girl may be an excellent speaker, but she may not be as proficient in writing and doing
things. Secondly, an individual may exhibit a different behaviour when he is in a group than
when he is alone.
Therefore, SSBs have designed three different techniques – Interview (speaking),
Psychology (writing) and GTO (performing in a group) to give opportunity to the candidates
to express themselves freely in these techniques to exhibit their talents.
